Phillip Edwards on painting the world in watercolour

Phillip Edwards is an artist who is creating magnificent large scale landscape paintings of places like Mt Buffalo and the Wombat State Forest near his home and studio in Bullarto, Victoria. Phillip approaches his subject in a contemplative manner, seeking to bring out the nuances of nature through his textural use of watercolour. He has recently been nominated for the Lester Prize in Portraiture at AGWA and has been invited to join the Australian Watercolour Institute. His studio, Bullarto Gallery is open to visitors on weekends and by appointment. https://www.phillipedwards.net/bullartogallery
