Potato Shed plays for Winter Solstace

Theatre3triple2 presents their annual Winter Solstice 1 Act Play festival on June 16 & 17  2023 at the Potato Shed in Drysdale.

2023 marks the 15th year Theatre3triple2 have presented the festival at the Potato Shed. During this time Theatre3triple2 have presented a wide range of productions that have all been written by local writers. Ranging from comedy to drama and even tragic tales have all been bought to life during this entertaining festival.

This year we have 2 wonderful plays written by local playwrights. 

You Wouldn’t Understand, written by Rob & Andy Jennings tells the tale of friendships fertility and IVF and what it means to be a real family. As the characters meet and question each other’s choices, the story unravels, friendships are tested and challenges faced, all over a friendly cuppa. Directed by Petrina Dakin this is bound to make you think about IVF and families

The Set Up, written by Kim Greer tells the story of Mistaken identities, mayhem and hidden secrets that are let loose written as two couples meet on blind dates under the knowing eye of a barmaid who has seen it all.

Two different stories that are guaranteed to entertain the audiences. 

There will be 3 performances over the weekend of 16&17th June. starting with Friday night commencing 7:00pm followed by 2 shows on Saturday 17th with a Matinee at 2:00pm and an evening show at 7:00pm.

As well as the plays there will be music in the lobby, Mulled wine and fire pits to help warm you up.
