Future D Fidel, writer of Prize Fighter

This week on KickArts we catch-up with playwright Future D Fidel who’s written the Prize Fighter.

Prize Fighter is a La Boite Theatre and Brisbane Festival production that is touring to Geelong as part of the 2018 Deakin University Theatre Season as well as dates at the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

The story is of young Congolese boxer Isa who’s impressive boxing career leads him to a title fight but in the lead-up has flash-backs to his time as a child soldier in the Congo.

Based partly on the life story of the writer, Future D Fidel, the play looks to be action-packed.
